Anybody out there use Skype? If you don't know, it's VoiP, Voice over internet protocol or something, It's basically using your PC and a microphone to call people and speak all over the world, I been using it to speak to my cousins In Australia, for free, and It is very good. You can also call landlines. but you have to pay for that, although it is very cheap still, I can get about 10 hours worth of calls to a landline for a bout £10, which is ultra cheap compared to normal calls.

I've done the voice shit with yahoo in the past....don't know if Skype is like that or not. But, I didn't like talking that way....when one person talks, the other has to remain quiet or else the voice is kinda cut off and you only hear part of what was said.

The actual cost are..........nothing. in a monetary sense anyway. unless you want to call a landline, then it's nominal.
I don't know what the software has installed in it, but I spent another half hour talking to Oz for 0.00 pence today, so I'm happy. And the sound quality is exceptional, almost like there in the room with you.
The only sound quality issue was when my cuz had a connection to his office going at the same time, soon as he turned it off, excellent.

Used Skype for some time now and it's one of the best voice software to use at the moment even when playing World of Warcraft it works very well.
Though for games ofc teamspeak is way better.
As with cost of calls to phone lines never used it can't really see any point
I've used it a couple of times in the past but the sound qlty doesn't always seem to be that great....
