"Swing" dancing was done way way way back in my mom's day, during the Big Band days.....went out of style...then came back for just a very very very short time in the fifties with the poodle skirts and early rock&roll music, it again went out of style, returning for a very short time in the late seventies and early eighties, during the Disco era.
I like just about any kind of music.....well, I HATE hard rock, acid rock, country, and pop music....I primarily listen to hip hop, rap, old Motown sounds, and some classical.

I like just about everything from classical to death metal. The exceptions being bubblegum like Titney Speers and ghey boy vocal groups

I'm gonna ditto Zok there word for word. But, my all time favourites are, in no particular order, depends what mood I'm in as to who my favourites are:
Queens of the stone age
The Specials
Good old soul/Motown
The Jam
If you were to say to me, I'm gonna take all your cd's bar one groups albums, then I'd have to keep my QOTSA stuff, defo. But I'd Bite your arms off for the rest first, before I let you just take them.

Ever check out modern Swing band dancing. Ya know that stuff where you swing your dancin girl around like nunchaku? looks rough on teh back.
I listen to everything from death metal to classical to space musik. Musik concrete', ambient, blues, classic rock, old country, bluegrass and sophisticated rap. Cant abide by top 40 crap.

Like Metalica? sure did. Last good album they put out was the cover stuff- Garage Inc. and none of that was their tunes. Then they tried to get all expressive and fancy or whatever the hell they did.
And IMHO sucked sailor ass.
Now I realize they prolly shouldnt have kept playing the same tired riff stuff ad infinitum but I won't be surprised to hear any of their tunes hit the supermarket Muzak channel.

Superconductor
Packaged like a rebel or a hero
Target mass appeal
To make an audience feel
He really means it
Package the illusion of persona
Careful to conceal
The fact that she's only too real
She's got to screen it
Hit you in a soft place
A melody so sweet
A strong and simple beat
That you can dance to
Watch his every move
Superconductor
Orchestrate illusions
Superconductor
Watch his every move
Superconductor
Hoping you'll believe
Designing to deceive
That's entertainment
He can put a target on the market
Bask in your applause
Reality withdraws
Now he believes it
The role becomes the actor
She's addicted to applause
The stage a world because
She never leaves it
Hit you in a soft place
With sentimental ease
They know the fantasies
That you romance to
Watch her every move
Superconductor
She can manipulate reactions
Superconductor
Watch her every move
Superconductor
Pin the donkeys on her tail
Fantasy for sale
That's entertainment...

thats true, once they start making money the record company pressures them to keep releasing new album. They then have trouble cos they are forced to write rather than want to, music without soul is often not good.
i ocassionally listen to the top 20/40 if i have the time....

fuck her! I couldn't give a shit if the uncaring bitch dies!!!
They moved cardiac patients out of the ward so they could paint 6 rooms pink b4 she went in. Then her minders were insisting visitors to other patients go thru the ICU istead of past the door to her private ward
I hope she never returns to the stage unless it's in porn

its pretty sad when patients in a cardiac ward are herded off into another area just because of 1 person, ambulances were re-routed away from that hospital too

and since WHEN does a hospital allow a bunch of visitors to ramble through an ICU unit just so they can visit patients in the cardiac ward??? The ICUs that I've been in are very quiet, and don't want a bunch of people wandering through it....INTENSIVE CARE UNITS are called that for a reason...those patients are in the worst condition...most times "life or death" conditions.

In the interest of fairness.
The hospital released a statement yesterday saying they didn't paint the rooms and the ward was half empty b4 she checked in (it's be the only hospital in aust with many empty beds in it's cardiac ward)

They don't have any other part of the hospital that she could have stayed in???

06-07-2005, 04:17 AM
the stories don't explain that. Maybe since it was a private hospital they don't have a cancer ward. It was omly a biopsy, couldn't they just stick the needle in her tit at home?

Happens all the time.
Celebs and 'power people' get preffered treatment over the common folk more often that many realize. I have seen high end stores in Vegas shoo people out and close with a mass of security just to let that wraith Michael Jackson shop. Mind that it is private property, but people feel the elitism.
Or times when for some event that people have already paid for gets 'canceled' but still goes on because some sports clown wants to attend with a bunch of his buddies. Yea you get your refund, but it still sucks.
Most still elevate these puppets to the levels of a god.
As far as I'm concerned celebs and stars are just another smoe on the street.
I wonder if they would have chased all the bums and Mexicans out the hospital here in Vegas if she came by?

On the upside I hear donations to the breast cancer research centre have increased recently, I don't know if she suddenly made a large donation but I doubt it.
This would appear to be a common phenomena when a well known figure is afflicted with a disease.
Should we inject random illnesses on celebs so the research into them gets a boost in funding?
Which celeb would you select to get which disease?
Michael Jackson - prostate/bowel cancer
Paris Hilton - gonorrhea (she's prolly already got it)
George W Bush - aids
