Didn't watch, but heard all about it, I think the pom's beat them a couple of times as well eh?:D Haven't heard much about it on here, wonder why?
And don't panic, I'm not going to go getting all above my station here, I'm sure we'll get smacked all over the park when the proper games start.:tard:

Yeha, the aussies were feeling sorry for the perennial losers of the world so let them win 1 game each and then resumed kicking ass. Only the English summer saved them last night

If I could prove that I knew that was exactly what Zokah would say, I would, but you'll just have to take my word for it.

Heh heh, don't get me wrong, I know you're going to kick our butts in the ashes, It's just I knew that that would be your excuse for losing to everybody.

nah, I could have used Gillys line "We were a little rusty after our holidays"
the banglas are getting thumped as we speak - 103/5

I didn't think it was on, it's not being shown on TV here
it's the last game before hte finals methinks
zokah

me thinks you are correct, not that it or the finals are in any doubt.
I'm really waiting for the tests. I hope the aussies are confident enuff to go in with 4 bowlers. They can since they bat down to No.11 :D
when they let the bgs get to 250 yesterday...pretty shocking if you ask me

I'm starting to get worried by Gillys walking, he missed it by a mile and still walked, not that it mattered
with all the bad things going on in cricket these days, it's nice to see Gilly's spirit of sportsmanship.
More players ought to follow his example.

Yeah, you'll get no argument from me there but if anyone is not sure thats what the umpire gets payed for. In this case the ump would have got it wrong as well, he reportedly told Ponting he'd have given it out anyway
i`m a wannabe

bloody dodgey umpires should be sacked
gilly seemed sure, that's why he walked...anyhoo...a fitting finale i thought...a tie!!
can't wait for the ashes to start

I'm now worried that maybe we've lost the killer instinct.
We had the Poms 5 down for not many and they still managed to get a tie?
maybe they were going easy on the home crowd...i mean they didn't want to wallathumpedo them in the natwest AND the ashes :D

why not, it hasn't stopped us before
here i am in china...in my hotel room...just logged on to cricinfo and england need 60 runs off 12 overs with 9 wickets in hand....:D :D

Here's a thought though, maybe it's not that Australia are rubbish, maybe we 're just getting better?

Oh believe me i for one think England being the home of cricket should have the best team, followed closely by the Black Caps.
England
New Zealand
India
Pakistan
South Africa
Sri Lanka
West Indies
Zimbabwe
Bangladesh
Australia tied with Kenya

only if they start proforming up to their potential. Gillespie going for 60+ is unusual but now Warne is back in England at least the girls are scared :D

It's amazing what can happen when 2 of them find some form
england 60/2 in the decider trescothck and vaughn going cheaply
zokah
07-13-2005, 03:40 AM
now it's 88/5 off 26 everything is almost normal in England

yep the aussies kicked some pretty pathetic pommie ass...but i'm sure you already knew that...quite disappointing really...

After the only first class match before the ashes battle commences all is looking good for the aussies.
3 of the batsman got centuries, Brett Lee sent somebody to hospital and about the only opposition batsman to get into double figures were aussies.
Without even hearing a pitch report I predict that if England win the toss they'll put us in and take their chances against Warne when they bat 2nd.
It would be a highly unusual tactic but I don't think the poms want the aussies on a massive high in the 1st over of the series and that would be highly probable with Glenn McGrath currently sitting on 499 wickets :D
well good luck to both reams, I just hope it's not too one-sided. With the aussies winning 7 in a row already, it would be nice if England could at least come close to winning this time.

Whats your prediction?
I think it'll be 3-1 with England winning the 5th match
I'm hoping for a 3-2 with England winning by less than 5 runs in the last game
talk about excitement.
my prediction tho is the same as yours 3-1
