going by that list compared to aussie beer the entire world accepts hot beer
If it's served up at 4c it considered warm, which is only marginally acceptable in the snowfields and served with a rum chaser

Gnome
10-30-2005, 09:14 PM
Theres snow in Australia??

rum gets a tad cloudy when it gets too cold.

zokah
10-30-2005, 09:17 PM
yeah, we get a little bit of snow in the Snowy mountains, 3ft is considered very good coverage usually.
The preffered rum is Bundaberg, it's dark so you don't see the clouds

Gnome
10-30-2005, 09:20 PM
Bundaberg.. hmmmm. I wonder if thats available at Lee's discount liqour. Lees is THE place in town to score ANY kind of libation.

If it aint there, it aint in town.

3' is not quite a good ski base. Which is prolly why theres more surfers in AU than skiers

Looking at that it would appear that more countries than England serve their beers warmer, and those are countries considered to be the 'original' beer makers. So Pffffft.

bundaberg rum has a yellow label for under proof and i think an orange label for over proof

Stan, as far as I know the only place they make Bundaberg Rum or Bundaberg ginger beer is in that Bundaberg :D

Handy hint for travellers - DO NOT mix the 2 in the same glass. Local claim that the ginger beer is the best cure for hangovers caused by the rum, but it's non-alcoholic so I dunno

I'll tell you what I like, I like the fact that you can buy the stuff pre mixed with coke in coke sized cans! that's ace that is.
Burger and chips and a can of bundy and coke please. lovely.

As an example, here's a JB and coke in a can with a burger that I had in a wooden shack somewhere on the way to the mountains in Queensland.

zokah

the burger looks typical but WTF is on top of the bun?

the premixes are OK but it just doesn't taste as good with the generic cola instead of coke. I just buy a 1.25 litre bottle of coke pour out the .25 then add the JB so it's almost a perfect mix, if only I could get icecubes to fit into the bottle............

They worked great for putting ice in bottles.

Or....how about this brand new concept....put some ice in a bag and take a hammer to it...then put the ice chunks in the bottle......GREAT INVENTION THERE:D

wutangstan
11-02-2005, 10:37 AM
Oooooh, crushed ice. never heard of that before! There's a name for it right there. Can I have 25% of the profits?

That stuff on top is grilled cheese by the way. And no, the pre mixed isn't as good, but when your 30k from anywhere and that's what they're offering, that's what you drink.

zokah
11-02-2005, 02:22 PM
crushed ice melts to fast diluting the drink

LTDunltd
11-02-2005, 05:56 PM
pour out the .25 of coke
pour in the JB
place in freezer for 20 - 30 min
remove
enjoy

zokah
11-02-2005, 06:42 PM
but I'm talking about mixing it on the road, if I'm home and wanna drink JB then I got ice

I like the getting worm out of the bottle, they're chewy :D

wutangstan
11-07-2005, 04:58 AM
I like the fact that they put the worm in live and it lives for a while before it dies, so you know that when your drinking it, your also drinking it's shit and piss. Mmmmm:(

Gnome
11-07-2005, 04:12 PM
Truth be known, rightious tequilla should not have a worm. That is generally reserved for Mescal. As they cook up the agave plants, they tend to cook up the worms in it too. The agave worm itself was a ploy my a Mexican distiller back in the 50's to market his mescal. But the average white boy thinks it's some anchient Azteca rite of passage.

They also think tequilla is for doing straight shots of like a bunch of mindless frat clowns.

Everybody knows tequilla is a sipping drink, just likea fine Scotch.

At least good tequilla is, anything else is just cactus terpentine.
