Qantas Airlines Problems and Solutions

After every flight, Qantas Airlines pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with
the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction.

The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor.

Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems as submitted by Qantas pilots and the solution as recorded by Qantas maintenance engineers.

Evrey plane should have a midget with a hammer under the instrument panel, thats why they've never had a major accident. If American planes did the towers might still be standing..........there's not much in the world that's scarier than a midget with a hammer

back in the day.

The rapid growth of surfing popularity in the 50's led way to the development of the skateboard that brought the thrill and style to the street.

the proto-skateboards that we earned our first broken bones came out in the late 60's, early 70's- ( one foot long...clay wheels, cast plastic bodies) getting towed by motorcycles or skating off the roof into the pool was all the rage. They where generaly more marketable to the side-walk crowd, soon to develop 'feature creeps' towards wider trucks, longer more fexible boards of laminates and 'righteous' urethane wheels.

the graphics became cooler and fueled by a tendency towards 'underground' youth culture, with punk, disco, butt-rock and what-have-you with a good dose of californication. I would doodle for hours, sketching and playing around with ideas for the latest in bitchin' GFX on skateboards, t-shirts and the occasional block wall.

not too long after realizing that my own, deteriorating, skateboarding skills where inevitably going to lead sustaining personal serious injury the institution of skateboarding became a diverse legitimate, corporately sactioned event. what was once viewed as a fringe, underground nusance was now a worldwide spectator sport. People like Tony Hawk became household names. The parallel development of other stylized free-form sports such as bike moto-cross (both gas and leg driven), snow skiing and boarding, and even influencing the Promethian surf-scene, show the cultural influence.

Today I watch the poseurs trying to be bad news on the sidewalks in front of my studio thinking: " you little whipper-snappers can't ollie with that huge, damn, plank of a board?.. wussies!" knowing that if I partook of the skateboard these days, injuring my brittle hip would be a poor excuse to tell the boss.

and i guess that can be one of my owed essay eh esays!

deja para ir patín mis freinds terrestres!
