Sydney has been blessed with a huge swell, caused by the remnants of a tropical cyclone, the aftermath of TC Kata I think it was called. It was suppoesedly going to follow TC Larry - the beast that wiped out Nth Queensland recently - but thankfully for all it swung to the south and dissipated over the Coral sea, it's now just a rain depression heading towards New Zealand.
But it has caused some good times here, so much so I was to sick to work today :D
I've checked my records and it's been 9 years, 2 months, and 8 days since we've seen a swell big enuff to cause waves where I spent the day with 3 good mates (they were also to sick to work) off Barrenjoey Lighthouse, the other side from what you can see

It was fan-fucking-tastic with wave in the 15 to 20 foot range, with the occasional bigger set up to about 25ft, they got a bit scary cos they were unpredictable :eek:
Now I'm feeling better than if I'd been having non-stop sex for a week and just about as tied but the adrenalin is still pumping so I'm now trying to bring myself down by having a few beers ;)

It was taken about 15 miles south of where I was, they had smaller waves but it's more populated so the newspapers went there. This is about 12foot :lol:
The missus has given me strict orders that I gotta go to work tomorrow unless it's another 20ft day, which it ain't gonna be :cry: :cry: :cry:
But it has caused some good times here, so much so I was to sick to work today :D
