If you’re not familiar, “nerdcore” or “geeksta” rap is a unique form of hip hop that is produced by and for geeks and nerds. The fan base is small because nerdcore caters to a very limited audience. Non-nerds might not get the jokes, or understand some of the lyrics.
Here's the homepage (http://www.bedoper.com/nerdcore/) where you'll find links to all for CDs that are available for download.
My fav so far is 133t G33k B34t -"Bill Gates Revolution" you can get it here :D (http://www.rhymetorrents.com/disc4/Bill_Gates_Revolution__new_version____1337_G33K_B3AT.mp3)

no doubt that independants, technology, the artist, will eventually unite and distribute media from the artist directly to the consumer, thus toppling big biz media conglomerates.

fuck lid rock!

Yeah.
I dunno about the rest of the world so much but here it's becoming quite common for people to start their own labels so they're not tied to the majors.
1 group recently did and released torrents (on PirateBay :D ) for 4 tracks a couple of weeks after they started getting played on tripleJ. They said later that it had actually increased sales and people weren't as willing to share the rest of the album as payback for their goodwill
They are now starting to get some play on commercial radio cos people are ringing in asking for it.
I'm sure RIAA/ARIA were impressed with that.

Nah, he is weird cos ARIA is Australian Recording Industry Association and he doesn't like pirates.

BTW it has been revealed that Bill Gates doesn't mind piracy (as long as it's not his shit being pirated) he'll happily watch stuff on Yourtube that includes pirated material

MC Hawking - "Rock Out With Your Hawk Out" is on CD #1

MC Hawking's Dark Matter Band Featuring MC Frontalot - "Mountain Kind" is on CD #2

A couple of versions of "Why Won't Jesse Helms Just Hurry Up And Die?" & "QuakeMaster" are available for DLing right here (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=92973)

A here's where you'll find the Javalink to the Flash @ Newgrounds (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/233937) for "What we need is more science"

I've done a bit of googling but WTF is Rhapsody® ? It's only available to US customers and I can't be bothered finding a proxy ATM! But there is a few tracks available @ http://www.leoslyrics.com/artists/12135/

now GTFG (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=MC+Hawking+%2B+download&btnG=Search) for more

our society mandates that we wear masks. Our culture is a train wreck of manipulation of our emotions. The media learned years ago how to manipulate our feelings, to exploit our subleties towards their ends.

how to keep the masses fat and happy?

but look at our culture of entitlement, of victimization. our society glorifies and reinforces the self, everything is me me me I I I.

But how many people understand their emotional identity? and how to temper it with wisdom?

xen
07-29-2006, 06:56 PM
not too many that's for sure....and all those pent up emotions usually lead to people ending up in court pleading temporary insanity.

What exactly is temporary insanity and why is a valid defense?

but in the psyc ward she'll be able to go out on weekends and go supervised shopping, art and crafts, dances held in the hospital.

and after let out, she can hook up and marry real soon and have kids again. Or mebe go work in a day care facility.

MamaBush
07-31-2006, 08:17 AM
I'm sure, if she wanted to work in a day care facility, that that facility would do a background check on her....I hope.

but, if the facility is like the agency I work for, they will only do a background check in that specific state. That's one thing that's always pissed me off with the place I work at, they do a background check on workers only in the state of Illinois. When I had mine done, I complained to them about it, saying, "I've spent my entire life in Wisconsin, if I've done something illegal it aint gonna show up in the Illinois records."

Whos to say what an old fuck is when the average lifespan of many primative cultures equates someone in their late 30's as a very old person?

If late 30s is old in some cultures then he should have already had his kids and there is no valid reason why his wife/wives shouldn't be in a similar age bracket.
If anything it prolly should be the female seeking a young stud because males are more susceptable to an early death in primative cultures cos they're the hunters and warriors.

MamaBush
08-17-2006, 05:19 PM
and one of the most difficult instruments to play as well

Gnome
08-17-2006, 09:11 PM
you know of the horn huh?

Yea it is a challenge. I played trumpet, cornet, and flugelhorn for years. When I picked up the F-horn all my chops went out the window. My armature had to change in my lip and that took my trumpet edge off, I could no longer hit the upper register notes. And the freeking harmonic shelves! if your aiming for a C or a G and the 'open' wants to lean to either side. I learned from the go on a double horn, so it was three valves and a thumb trigger to switch to the e Flat side.

But I loved the damn thing.

I learned to pick out one instrument in particular in the entire band to que in on and that was the first oboe. They typically played the same passages I was and we had to get in sync with each other in order to really lock in that part of the total puzzle.

MamaBush
08-19-2006, 04:27 AM
I only know that the French horn is the most difficult instrument to play because my junior high band instrutor told us so.

I played the oh so popular CLARINETTE when I was in school....I hated it. I sooo wanted to play either the tenor saxophone or the flute...but, the school's band already had too many students playing both of those instruments, so the band instructor talked my mom into signing me up for CLARINETTE, plus he won her over by telling her that's one of the cheapest instruments to buy as well....we was poor folks with lots of kids.

Funny thing is, by the time we were in high school, the sax section had way too few players, while the clarinette section had way too many players....go figure!

Gnome
08-19-2006, 11:03 AM

Whatever genre you like it's listed, the No1 in the electric chart is a send-up, written and produced by 1 of the DJs in 2 hours but some of the other stuff is very good. It's been running for a couple of weeks now but I waited until it got some ratings to link it for ya

Over the years this talent quest has been the launching pad for bands like Grinspoon and Killing Heidi, the most recent winner, Missy Higgins has recently completed her 1st tour of the states. I confidently predicted that she was going to be the next international star

What I like best about that link- I'm hearing a refreshingly different diversity of sound, that for some or other reason can't get here. And some damn good audio considering it's getting piped up from way far away

The only other all encompasing net radio stations I tune to:

Live365 (http://www.live365.com/index.live)

or
radioio (http://www.radioio.com/)

but then if you dont 'buy' soundpasses or whatnot you got to put up with some commercials, but hey, beats the shit out of the FM airwaves.

I thought you might enjoy some of it

I'll have to try a few links from Live365, then I'll consider if it's worth signing up to the other

for myself, since I skitter about to the various stations, I have plenty to listen to just from the free stuff. I could get into serious trouble just being able to click and buy.

yeah, and for that reason I won't ever put my single creditcard on the net ever

darn tootin

I'm toying with the idea of getting a card with a $500 limit just to buy shit online. I ditched the old card that I bought grain and such online.

but brewing season is coming up and we no longer have a homebrew/wine shop in.

a county of 1.6 million people and there no fucking brew store

That is strange. This town has a pop of about 4million and a brew store in every other suburb

This town has no soul.

it must be because they're closing the all night wedding chapels

MamaBush

They're not closing the chapels, just the marriage licence beureau hours, which is unfortuntate because you should see whats getting hitched at 2AM!

marriage is a wonderful institution.

you need to be institutionalised
marriage is a wonderful institution.
I'm glad when I hear that two people can live happily together....for me, I get too bored with the same person if I have to see them all the time.

Me needs my own space, my own time, my own thoughts, my own freedom, my own....ya, my own.

well marraige has it's pros and cons, but as long as you love the other person and accept them for waht they are and you have an understanding with them, you should be ok.

part of marriage is understanding and respecting the other persons time for self. The key to it is open comminication as to the whens and hows. It's a good balance to have time apart, to do stuff, and time together to do stuff. It's good to do stuff for each other and it's good as a couple to do stuff for others.

The space between leaves room to grow.

that's my main problem with the men I get involved with.....they think we're supposed to spend almost every waking moment together.

"D" is the only guy I've been involved with who understands my need to be alone.

I'm happy to spend some time "talking" to women as long as I think I'll get about 10minutes of near silence for my efforts

one of the most precioussss blessings I have is to find personal insight in spending solitude persuing art. watercolors in the canyonlands, charcoals in the treeline.
I have struggled a bit learning to balance my time better with all the chores, time spent dreaming with my girl, and getting lost in form and color.

but i'm getting ....better....

there is never enuff time for art or to find the one that is exactly right.
We've been looking for something from either surrealist or impressionist for almost 2 years. The closest we've come to agreeing on something was a Pro Hart and they were asking $28k from a gallery.
But it's fun looking at all the emerging artists selling at the street market and there is some talent around.
Could I trust a struggling artist to put my ideas on canvas?

MamaBush
09-03-2006, 05:02 AM
hell, struggling artists are usually really good.....they're just struggling to make a name for themselves.

Gnome
09-03-2006, 09:34 AM
more likely to get a struggling artist to work with someone elses ideas. Once an artist gets into the exclusive arty farty crowd, they generaly become jaded and think only their ideas are worthy.
