So the British army is leaving Iraq and Prince Hairy is going to lead the charge and win his place in history as a great leader and commander.
What do you think is the price on his head on the Arab street?
Synthetic chiefs with frozen smiles holding unsteady
courses.Grip the reins of history, high on their battle
horses. And meeting as good statesmen do before the T.V.eyes of millions, hand to hand exchange the lie ---pretend to make the clasp.

now, this is a bar-b-que:
HOUSTON - For at least two days, neighbors at a city apartment complex noticed an acrid aroma, black smoke and leaping flames coming from two barbecue grills on the balcony of a second-floor apartment.
What, neighbors at the Red Oak Place apartments wondered, was going on in the unit where 27-year-old Timothy Wayne Shepherd lived? What was he burning at all hours, for days at a time? The answer turned their stomachs.
According to law enforcement officials, Shepherd dismembered, and then burned the body of his former girlfriend, Tynesha Stewart, a 19-year-old Texas A&M University student. Nothing remains of Stewart's body, Harris County Sheriff Tommy Thomas said at a press conference Saturday.
"I just don't know what to think about it," said Louis Evans, whose balcony faces Shepherd's in the quiet tree-lined enclave in northern Houston. "I thought he was a nice normal person. I guess you never know what your neighbors are doing."
Authorities said Shepherd has confessed to strangling and dismembering Stewart, a college freshman who was home on spring break, because he was angry that she had started a new relationship.
Officials first thought Shepherd had disposed of her remains in a large commercial trash bin that had since been emptied, launching an intense debate in the area about whether the Sheriff's Department should conduct a massive and expensive search of area landfills for Stewart's remains.
Stewart was last seen March 15 and was reported missing March 19. The next day the Harris County Sheriff's Office homicide division launched its investigation.
On March 16, neighbors said they first noticed the unusual activity — and the unpleasant odor — on Shepherd's balcony.
"The smell was awful," said Evans, who also became alarmed after seeing a blaze shoot out from the grills. "I was wondering: What is he burning? Not cooking, but burning. There is a difference."
At times, Evans said, the flames from the grills leapt dangerously close to the roof of the balcony. Evans says he called 911, but when firefighters arrived, the flames had calmed and Shepherd assured them everything was under control.
A leasing agent at the apartment complex also noticed the thick dark smoke and the intense flames and asked Shepherd what he was doing, Evans said. Another neighbor, 18-year-old James Hebert, told The Houston Chronicle that he often cooked out with Shepherd, and even left his grill at Shepherd's apartment. When he wasn't invited over, he asked his neighbor what was going on. Shepherd replied that he was cooking for a wedding, the newspaper said.
Dionne Whitaker, 31, who lives in the complex, said she saw Shepherd carry the grill and smoker to a garbage bin a day or so later, the newspaper said.
Human remains generally require extremely high temperatures to destroy, and authorities have not said how it is possible that Stewart's remains could be completely burned on a patio grill.
"This certainly turned out to be one of the most heinous crimes I've ever seen in my 38 years (in law enforcement)," Thomas, the sheriff, said Saturday.
Shepherd, who is charged with murder, is being held on $250,000 bond in the Harris County Jail. Telephone message left with his attorney, Chip Lewis, were not immediately returned. On Sunday, the door to Shepherd's apartment was covered with plywood boards.

craft beer is any beer thats not mass/commercialy produced. like on the level Anhieser Bush mass produces it's tasteless swill. a brew that more a labor of love than marketability.
i don't think weeds particulary bad, unless thats all you wanna do: sit around and smoke away huge chuncks of memory. Yet you can walk away from weed much easier than herin or crackcain. Ultimatly al lthat shit, alcohol included takes a toll.
MamaBush

one good point with weed, however, is that it doesn't kill off any of our brain cells.
Sure, it clogs up our synapses, but when you stop using it, those clogged synapses unclog, and all is well in our brains and body.

Meanwhile my dad thinks he's some kind of invincible, perpetual James dean- smoking and drinking like his 25th birthday is only next week. Stunning to see self delusion at it's most insidious, and I try to see through the fog.. my own.

5 heart attacks!!!! yowwwza....you really ought to be taking better care of yourself!! !

ha, aint got nothing much to do with how I take care of myself.

ya, good one, Gnome
aint it nice when they finally find a medicine or medicines that do the trick?
I had to see an endocrinologist every fucking month for 6 months years ago....as he was trying to find the right combination of meds to keep my lipids and cholesterol under control....every time it went down and my lipids became better, they would get all out of whack within a couple of weeks....thus my endocrine system fighting against my own body.
took a regular doctor of internal medicine to find the right combination about 5 years ago...my numbers have been perfect since.
Gnome
06-22-2007, 11:40 AM
have you tried holistic approches?
MamaBush
06-23-2007, 04:02 AM
yes, I've had doctors who tried those with me....my lipids and choleserol always got much much worse.
The combination I've been on for the past, oh, about 10 years has been doing the job better than anything else ever. My numbers are FANTASTIC, and have remained that way for these 10 years.
Gnome
06-24-2007, 09:48 AM
I dont believe holistic is usefull at 100% but there are some things to be garnered from it all. Best to find a doctor that knows about the bal lance of naturalistic and chemical/pharma. Theres too many hacks out there who think they know it all.
MamaBush
06-26-2007, 02:08 AM
which is what the old doctor I had did....while it is in pill form (due to the large dosage I have to take), the Niaspan I take, along with Zocor, is a NATURAL element.
but since I take 2000 mg every night of the Niaspan, I would be spending tons on it if I bought it over the counter....and would need a new bottle every week.

She grew up in an indiana town

She said, I dig you baby but I got to keep movin
...on, keep movin on
Last dance with mary jane
One more time to kill the pain
I feel summer creepin in and im
Tired of this town again
Well I dont know what Ive been told
You never slow down, you never grow old
Im tired of screwing up, Im tired of goin down
Im tire of myself, Im tired of this town
Oh my my, oh hell yes
Honey put on that party dress
Buy me a drink, sing me a song,
Take me as I come cause I cant stay long
Last dance with mary jane
One more time to kill the pain
I feel summer creepin in and im
Tired of this town again
T heres pidgeons down in market square
Shes standin in her underwear
Lookin down from a hotel room
Nightfall will be comin soon
Oh my my, oh hell yes
Youve got to put on that party dress
It was too cold to cry when I woke up al one
I hit the last number, I walked to the road
Last dance with mary jane
One more time to kill the pain

i swear my work ethic is clashing with my apathy in the worst way. I'm a seasoned, driven professional with ruthless graphical arts skills. But i'm thinking about a new career in something like.. i dunno, watering plants at a nursery...
MamaBush
07-16-2007, 02:22 AM
 aint nothing wrong with watering plants at a nursery. Someone's gotta do it.
I've always had a very strong work ethic as well....sometimes, too strong.
Case in point, I went into work having a heart attack one time, finished off
the morning routine with the kids, got them to school, told my supervisor
I wasn't feeling well (I knew I was having a heart attack) and needed to
go home. Went home, shaved my legs, then called 911...ya ya, stupid, but
that's how I am. That was my first time getting 2 stents put in.
Or the time when I was living in Green Bay, was having severe chest pains, jaw aching, right arm numb and aching, upper back felt like someone had just punched the hell out of it. I went to school that morning, went to work when
I got out of school.....nitroglycerin wasn't doing a damned thing to help the symptoms, so, told the clients I was working with that I didn't feel well (again, I knew I was having another heart attack) and I went home. Got
home and called 911.
Except for my very first heart attack when I was 28, all of the others started
when I was either on my way to work, or while I was at work. I then tend to stick around and finish my job duties as much as I possibly can, then leave.:D
DAMN....I'M RAMBLING THIS MORNING, AINT I?
Gnome
07-16-2007, 07:28 AM
aint nothin wrong with rambling.
quit having heart attacks woman!
I have a powerful work ethic too. But when it comes to my health or family, fuck them. They get enough of my time and talents, and that attitude has been fermenting for a while.
MamaBush
07-16-2007, 07:58 AM

how does pee clog up a shower drain?
Gnome
08-07-2007, 06:54 PM

it's not the shower that gets clogged up (well it does, but from hair, not pee)
I meant that the multi-stream action is from a little bit of cloggage..in..there...
