I felt like a teenager kissing in my parents' car outside of the garage....we sat there in his vehicle so long, that patrons were looking at us funny.

A car pulled in next to us, went in to eat, came back out about an hour later, and we were still sitting there. Got plenty of looks from plenty of patrons, that's for sure. Being in a car puts the focus on the two of you, less distractions and all.

that's one positive thing I can say about the school where I work, compared to most schools....we are not given the "approved program bullshit" to teach.

We do have to teach to the academic areas the kids need credits in..but we do not have a set academic program to follow. Would be almost impossible with the different learning styles and levels of the kids in each classroom. Can't teach from one book to students in one classroom who range from let's say 7th grade to 11th grade.

Money that could be better spent helping out our failing education programs in my estimation. The president of the NEA makes half million a year salary. It is an awesome gig and I feel truly blessed. It's demanding, the above scenario of taking time off when I want is a luxury. Fact is I'm hustling constantly, have worked shitloads of OT. Work all weekend, frees up your Monday kind of thing.

you can make a nummy sauce:

heat up some good olive oil, simmer it with garlic, toss in some chopped chilis (I use habanero) reduce the oil a bit on low heat, deglaze with some soy sauce.

if you add it to like A-1 or worchestershire sauce it kicks it way up
