[color=#ff00ff]She's had court fines to pay off for years now, with the judge giving her break after break to pay them off. She called me tonight BAWLING and BEGGING me to get her out of jail.....she has to pay $1,300 to get out. Now mind you, she had taken $6,000 out of an account about two years ago, money she had no right to, and partied all that money away....paid nothing on the fines. Been telling her for years to go pay at least $20 every month, that shows the courts that you are TRYING. BUT NOOOOOOOO.....I also kept telling her they will eventually put out a warrant for her...then she'll owe even more due to having to pay court costs....anywho....I felt really really bad, but[/color]

Told her I love her to death, and hate knowing she's in jail....but it's time she takes care of her own responsibilities for once. Told her she can be mad at me all she wants, and that's okay...one day she'll realize why I refused to bail her out this time.[/color]

Anywho, told her to stress to the judge that she just started a new job yesterday, maybe he'll let her out on work release. She also can't hold down a job for more than two months...poor thing. She has her issues, but is such a loving and warm person...I feel bad, and yet I don't.[/color]

If it's to long and you can afford it without going into debt yourself maybe spring her after a week or so

I have no clue how long she'll have to sit to pay the fine off, she sees the judge this morning and will find out then. I told her to call me after I get off of work today and let me know what the judge has to say. The only thing that I truly feel bad about is, she hates to be alone....almost a fear of being alone, and right now, she's the only female in the county jail.[/color]

[color=#ff00ff]She's been placed on work release, has to pay to be on that program, all her paychecks go to the work release center to pay her fines, she's given $50 per pay check to pay her friend for gas to take her to work....and she has to do one day per $25 dollars of her fine..which goes towards the full amount of what her paychecks also cover....she's fine with this, but of course, she really doesn't have a choice.[/color]

A similar situation fell on my brother a little over a year ago. He had old tickets (no insurance) that went to warrant. He failed to show to court on them (contempt of court) plus mounting fines. He blew it off for a long time. There were numerous traffic court amnestys he missed too, depite the whole familys urging him to take atvantage of, where he could have went before the judge and made a deal.

One day they pulled him over, ran his stuff, into cuffs he went.

HE was freaking out. Skinny 22 year old in jail with vatos locos ganstas and other regulars. He called begging for us to bail him out. But the nature of the offence was so that they would hold him until he saw a judge. Then it was anybodys guess as to what would happen next.

Long story short, he spend three days in jail, saw the judge and the judge made him an offer he couldnt refuse.

Suspended licence for 8 months, and a payment shedule for his fines. IF he broke any of the conditions he would do 6 months min.

HE got his shit together right quick.

She's gotten a whole hell of a lot better over the past few years....each year improving more and more, each year learning to be a little more self-suffecient, but still needing Mommy (yes she still calls me Mommy:D ) to help her out with mental health issues that arise and legal issues that arise....and I'm always there to support her with how I feel she should be supported. She's a good egg over all....very warm and loving, and intelligent when she wants to be. [/color]

[color=magenta]No, they do not assign lawyers to people for misdemeanor (sp) cases. She knew they would put a warrant out for her if she didn't pay her fines. And, the judge had given her chance after chance to pay them......rather than locking her up. Mental health issues have no bearings on whether someone does time or not....hell, our prison system is filled with people who have mental health issues. They, as she, knows right from wrong....that's really the bottom line.[/color]

it was hard visiting her in jail, but she had it fairly good since she was in the work release program...she got out 6 days a week for work.

And I also hope she learned something this time...only time will tell.

Hell, when I was younger and tried something sexually that my mom had always said she would never do....I would call her on the phone and tell her that "whatever" I had done wasn't so bad...why did she always say she would never do "whatever" it was?

I even called my mom the first time I smoked weed and told her about it.



My family is VERY open about things....well, not EVERYONE in my family is, but I am, my Mom is, and my daughter is....most of my friends, when I was growing up, wished that my mom was their mom...and almost all of my daughter's friends tell her and I that they wish I was there mom as well......it's nice not having hang ups, at least I think it's nice.

She claims she went to court for it, and spoke to the store's lawyer three days ago to make out a payment arrangement. The warrant was because they said she did not go to court for it. Well, this time it was a very short stint.....she got out this morning on a signature bond....BUT...if she doesn't pay $70 this Friday, and $70 every two weeks after that, she's locked up again.

My baby always surprises me. I mean, I'm the one who raised her, yet she's just like her father when it comes to her psychological issues and her legal issues.

I have never been in a jail, hell, I've never even gotten a speeding ticket, yet, she's only 20 and has been to jail several times for numerous offences, just like her father.

From the time she was born, she's always seen me working and working extra hours and jobs to make ends meet, plus she was old enough to remember me going to college, and school now, she's always known how important a good education is, yet she was a high school drop out and got her GED, just like her father.




The only thing she got from me was her musical abilities.....amazing, just amazing
