New Forumerz Rules

So here goes.

I've taken steps to minimize the amount of spam that occurs on these boards by bots and idiot spammers.

New members will be placed on trial immediatley and will be known as "Trial Member".

The only way they can begin posting is by;

1/ Registered for over 1 day
2/ or, a Reputation Level over 1 value
3/ or, 1 post - which they can't do until 1 day elapses or if 1 of you guys reps them.

Any other ideas are welcome :)

whatever Raven did, he did okay.

I've only had to delete one SPAM thread since he started the new rule.....before that, I was deleting at least 3 to 5 SPAM threads every day.

I'm just curious as to how it works then. Is there some speedy evaluation period or did I hit it straight at server rollover?
I'm not complaining, just wanted to make certain the place remained sapam free as it seems like you guys've had a problem with it.

we USED to have a huge problem with it.

I don't know how it works now...I joined the OLD ASS FORUM years ago, then came here when Raven decided to make a new forum....there was no validation period or anything back then.

Now the thing is... I wasn't put on trial... it couldn't have anything to do with me changing my title as the very first thing I did and circumventing the rules in that way? Or what? Give us a clue as to what has happened here Raven. please?

well, (between us :D ) i've lifted the current 1 day evalution and replaced it with a simple "Image Verifictaion" process which seems to be cleansing the place of bot registrations and opportunistic gaping butthole spammers.
